Setting sail
Dear Lj
I was on a Waka traveling from my home land to New Zealand.
On my way I saw lots of dolphins, whales, stingrays, and other kinds of fish.
My most favourite part was when I saw the dolphins jumping up and down and
flipping around my Waka. When I was in site of an island, two baby sharks
started to circle around my Waka and I grabbed my spare threw it to the baby
sharks and killed both. When I reached an island, I setup my tent on camping
spot so that I could sleep in it at night. After setting up my tent I made a boom
fire so that I could cook the two sharks that I had caught.

Fitness
Today room 10 went out with Mrs. Raj for fitness. Our fitness was about making shapes with our bodies. We worked as two groups. We shared our knowledge about two dimensional shapes.
At first group 1 made a square, a circle and a diamond. After this we all got together and made a trapezium and an oval shape. We then had to share with Mrs. Raj three facts about the shapes we made with our bodies. After that we did 10 star jumps,10 pushups,10 step ups and at the end we touched our toes and jumped up 10 times.
Finally we ran around the netball courts twice. The court is a rectangle. It was fun learning about geometrical shapes through fitness.
Fitness and direction
On Friday Room 10 had fitness. But it wasn't just fitness, it was fitness with compass directions. Room 10 learnt our directions. We learnt where North, East, South, West, South-East, North-West and South-West were. But to make it easy for us we re-named it. We put North as never, East as eat, South as soggy and West as weet-bix.

After 30 minutes we arrived at Kelly Tarltons. We all assembled in scott's hut. After that we walked along the walls and ended up at a photo place and everybody that passed there got to get taken a photo.
Then we were at the penguin's place where we watched a lady feed penguin's. We saw 2 types of penguin's the 2 types of penguin's were king penguin and the gentoo penguin. It was cool.
After that we walked into scott's base it showed inside of an olden house and inside of it was all dusty and old.
Next we went to the cafe and we all had our lunch. At the back of us were drawings that got clored and got hanged up on the walls.
When we finished our lunch we all lined up and headed to the shark zone. When we entered the shark zone there was an sidewalk that moves and on the left side of the sidewalk was just floor that does not move. We saw lots of sharks, big fish, sting-rays and lots of small fish.
Then it was time to go to the Kelly tarltons classroom and learn about all the sea animals we saw.
In the classroom our teacher name was Ms sakura she told us that all the sharks that we saw are all friendly but looked scare. Ms sakura showed us shells that came from snails, crabs, turtles and a per of shark teeth.
Finally it was time to go back to school but when we go to the bus the other class was not there so we crossed the road and went to the beach and we all took lots of saffes.
Then the other class came and we all crossed the road and got on the bus and went back to school.

How to make a banana cake.
WALT: Write a procedure on how to make a banana cake.
Success Criteria: I am able to identify and write down the materials needed and the steps to be followed to make a banana cake.
Goal:To make a banana cake.
Ingredients:
- 125g butter, softened.
- 200g raw sugar.
- 2 eggs.
- 3 bananas (mashed).
- 1 tsp natural vanilla essence.
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
- 3/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda.
- 2 tbsp warmed milk.
- 1 1/2 cup plain flour.
- 1 tsp baking powder.
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Grease the inside of a 20cm deep round cake tin and line the base with baking paper.
- Gently mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Don’t overdo it.
4. Add the mashed banana and vanilla, mix to combine .
5. Stir the baking soda into the warmed milk and add to creamed mixture.
6. Sift the dry ingredients together and fold through the creamed mixture. Be sure to measure this quantity precisely.
7. Scoop the mixture into the prepared tin, level, and bake for one hour or until cake springs back when lightly touched. This timing depends on the even heat provided by your oven, so some ovens might take 50 minutes. Keep an eye on it!
8.Leave the cake in the tin for 15 minutes before placing on a wire rack to cool.
9.Top with your favourite icing.
enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!
