  1. Kia ora Richie and welcome back to the Summer Learning Journey programme. It is so cool to see that you have joined us this summer and already completed six activities. Way to go!

I see that Daniel has posted a comment on Day #1, Activity #2 - North and South. He is working with our team this year, having been a long time participant in the Summer Learning Journey programme. Like Daniel, I think that you are doing a great job with your activities. I see from this post that you were able to pull out your maths skills and solve the cactus problem. You are exactly right that the cactus needs 1095 ml of water over the course of a year. That is just over one litre of water, which really isn't very much. I sometimes drink a litre of water in just a couple of days! Do you like drinking water or do you prefer to drink something else? My favourite thing to drink is tea. I just love it and I can't start my day without it!

I hope that you are having a great day and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. It looks really lovely outside.

Keep up the great work with your blogging this summer!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
