Towering Timbers - SLJ

WEEK 1 DAY 5 ACTIVITY 1

I am against this statement because trees help us breathe. We need trees to help us stay alive that is why we need trees. My second statement is that animals live in trees and if there homes get destroyed then they will not have any homes to stay or to protect their babies from other animals.

These are two statement on why we should not cut down too many trees.

  1. Hi Richie,

How is your Tuesday going? I think you have made two great statements about logging in New Zealand. You're right, we do need trees to help stay alive. Have you heard of the One Billion Trees Programme? The NZ Government has set a goal to plant 1 Billion trees by 2028 to help protect the environment and mitigate climate change. I think this is a great step in the right direction. What do you think?

    Keep up the great work!
    Nga mihi, Georgia.
