Towering Timbers - SLJ

WEEK 1 DAY 5 ACTIVITY 1

I am against this statement because trees help us breathe. We need trees to help us stay alive that is why we need trees. My second statement is that animals live in trees and if there homes get destroyed then they will not have any homes to stay or to protect their babies from other animals.

These are two statement on why we should not cut down too many trees.

The Haunted Attic

We had just moved into a new house. By the time we had unpacked our bags it was time to have dinner. My Mum heated up the oven while I went exploring. I found a little string hanging from the ceiling. I jumped and pulled it down. A stairs came down really slowly making a screeching noise.

Once it made it to the ground, I climbed up the stairs and there it was, lots of rats in the attic but that didn’t scare me. I went deeper into the attic and heard a voice calling “HELP HELP”. I went closer and closer! Suddenly I saw something running towards me, it looked like he was eating a rat. I tried to grab the monster, but it vanished on my bare hands.

I didn’t bother saying anything to my Mum. After having a delicious dinner, it was time to go to bed. In the Middle of the night, I woke up to go to the toilet and I heard the same voice again. “HELP HELP”, I jumped back into my bed and tried to sleep, but the voice kept on disturbing me. At that very moment I felt like I was brainwashed and that I shouldn't have gone into that attic.

After that night, I woke up with a fresh start and got ready for breakfast. I ran down stairs to find a note left on the table. It was a note from my mum saying that she had gone shopping for some lunch. I took this time to explore the attic one more time. When I got up to the attic I explored the other side of the attic. I found lots of old news paper, all packed in plastic bags but there was one left on the floor. I picked it up and started reading it. It said that a man was murdered in a house. The address of the home was 205 Doorline Road. I carried on walking down the attic and remembered that my address was 205 Doorline Road. Then I heard a car pulling up at the house. I ran down the attic stairs and slammed shut the attic door.

Someone was knocking on the door. It was my mum. I opened the door acting like I had just woken up. My mum asked if I could help her get the shopping out of the car. I said “yes”. When we had finished packing, I asked her, “mother, who did we buy the house from?” She replied and said, “We had bought it from an old man”.

After that morning I did a little research on the old man who had got killed in the house, and the man’s name was Acer Fillton. After reading that article, I showed it to my mom and told her about what was happening to me. She called the cops to report this man. Half an hour later, my mother collapsed on the floor. I thought to myself that my mother had seen him from a very far distance telling her to kill me. Finally the cops showed up at my home 1 hour later.

They searched the house but found nothing. Later that day we called a priest to come and bless the house. After that day there was no sign of any monster or spirit inside our home

The Library Bus

I really got excited when my teacher said 3, 2, 1 we all packed our things away and lined up quickly and set off down to the library bus. When we arrived at the library bus an angel appeared out of the bus it was the bus librarian, her name was Erica and her friend Brett. They both greeted us with joy. We were all excited to step onto the bus. When we all hopped onto the bus Erica showed us around and talked to us about all the books. After she talked to us about the books she gave us our own librarian card so that we could borrow book from the bus and from our local libraries. We all picked a book and took it to Brett so that he could scan it. The time went really fast because I was so engaged at looking at the amazing books. I had a lovely time in the bus and can’t wait for the bus to visit us again next mouth.

Title: The Bad Guys
By: Aaron Blabey
Characters in the book: Mr Wolf, Piranha, Agent Fox,
Snake, Mr Shark and spider
My favourite character: Mr Wolf

My book is about a mad villain called Dr Marmalade.
Dr Marmalade wanted to transform everyone into
Zombies animals. Mr Wolf and his team wanted to
stop him but there was one problem the machine
that Dr Marmalade was using was on the moon so
Mr Wolf and his team stole a rocket and hoped if they
saved the day that they would not go to jail.
So they used the rocket to get into space and stopped
Dr Marmalade and transformed everybody back to normal.

I really liked this story because Mr Wolf and his team
saved the day and the book was also very entertaining.

Then we tipped all the ink into the glass of water than we put tape on  our teachers phones camera and then coloured it blue then we put another tape on and then coloured it blue again then the last on was put tape on again and coloured it purple which made it a black light. After that we went into a dark room and Mrs card turned her light and my group and I were glowing green like the hulk. It was a cool experiment and experiences.

In the Holiday's

During the holidays my family and I went to a trampoline park called Gravity.

There first I was bouncing on it like a kangaroo and many of them joined me in it and became friends. I really enjoyed my time at the Gravity because it was fun even though it was tiring.

A few days later my family and I went to watch the new movie Incredible 2 in the Sylvia park cinemas. I liked the movie because they were super power family and mum is a elastic girl. The technology was mind blowing.

I had a blast in the holidays and can't wait for the next holiday.

Mission to Jupiter

Mission to Jupiter

On the 21st of September 2003 a NASA spacecraft
called Galileo was sent into Jupiter's atmosphere.
It was the end of an adventure that went on for 14 years.
Throughout this 14 year adventure they discovered a
spectacular achievement.

Galileo was the first of a new lifetime of unmanned space
missions. The spacecraft was launched into space on the
year 1989 and  launched smoothly.

Soon later things began to go wrong. The high-gain antenna
failed to send feedback back to Earth but the scientists did
not give up and worked hard till it was back up and running.

Before the end of its mission, Galileo met up with another
spacecraft that was on its way to Saturn for a few months and
the two spacecrafts worked together to gather images of jupiter
and its moons.
